Refund policy

Refund rules for hosting, support, and webmaster services.

This Refund Policy explains how SpiethHost handles cancellations, eligible refunds, non-refundable charges, and account terminations for private hosting and webmaster administration services.

1. General rule

Unless a custom written agreement states otherwise, hosting and webmaster services are billed for reserved infrastructure, labor, planning, and service availability. Because of that service model, not all charges are refundable.

2. Eligible refunds

New recurring hosting services may be eligible for a limited refund request if the request is made within 14 calendar days of the initial service start date and the account has not involved excessive migration work, abuse remediation, emergency recovery, or unusual setup labor.

  • Only first-time hosting charges are eligible by default unless otherwise stated in writing.
  • Refunds, when approved, may be prorated or reduced to account for work already completed.
  • Approved refunds are generally returned through the original payment method where practical.

3. Non-refundable items

  • Domain registrations, renewals, transfers, redemption fees, SSL certificates, premium licenses, third-party software fees, and pass-through vendor costs.
  • Completed setup fees, migration labor, webmaster work, hourly consulting, emergency support, malware cleanup, custom development, design, and content work.
  • Renewal charges for recurring hosting periods unless a refund is required by law or approved in writing as an exception.

4. Cancellations

Cancellation requests should be submitted in writing through the designated billing or support contact before the next renewal date. Canceling a service stops future billing for the next term when processed in time, but does not automatically entitle the account holder to a refund for the current or prior billed period.

5. Suspended or terminated accounts

Accounts suspended or terminated for abuse, fraud, malware distribution, policy violations, or nonpayment are generally not eligible for refunds. SpiethHost may deduct the value of labor or vendor expenses already incurred before issuing any discretionary credit.

6. Chargebacks

If a chargeback or payment dispute is opened without first attempting to resolve the matter directly, services may be suspended while the dispute is reviewed. Documentation supporting the service history, delivery, or accepted terms may be provided to the payment processor.

7. Request procedure

Refund requests should include the account name, domain, invoice number, service start date, and reason for the request. Requests may be sent to sales@spiethhost.com.

8. Policy updates

This Refund Policy may be revised from time to time. Updated versions become effective when posted with the revised effective date unless a separate contract controls.
